Site Safety Inspections & Audits
The monitoring and review of preventative and protective measures is a requirement of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations for which routine workplace health and safety inspections are to be conducted to check that such measures are in place and effective.
The Site Inspection involves meeting with the responsible/ nominated person, conducting an overview of existing documentation, inspection of the company activities, providing guidance on best practice and compliance with Legislation. Each Site Inspection includes an inspection report, corrective and preventive actions report, feedback on our findings, along with photographs of observations.
The frequency of site visits is varied across all our clients, as it is dependent on what is required by each organisation. We recommend at least one external H&S Visit/ Inspection per annum. Management will gain a comprehensive health & safety audit of the working practices and a detailed corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) report, following the visit to the premises.
The Health & Safety Audit is a more in-depth report identifying good practice and necessary compliance with Legislation. Specific hazards or shortcomings in the health and safety management system are identified. Identified issues will include recommendations that will assist management to remedy them. Each HSAR includes a report, corrective and preventive actions report, feedback on our findings, along with photographs of observations.
Should you require more “hands on” health & safety expertise and management, we can visit your premises more regularly. Our client needs may include:
- Completing audits of working practices
- Inspecting the premises
- Reviewing ongoing projects
- Completing specific site risk assessments/SSOW
- H&S management of employees, training, conducting toolbox talks etc.
The initial site visit, audit & inspection, will identify any shortfalls. We will discuss the report with you and if required, we can agree any additional support.
