RLSS Emergency Response Pool Training – Be Prepared to Save Lives
Consult CPK deliver the RLSS UK Emergency Response Pool (ER-Pool) qualification, designed for staff working in or around swimming pools who are not lifeguards but need the skills to respond effectively in an emergency.
This course provides essential knowledge and practical skills to assist casualties in water-related incidents, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and reducing risk in leisure environments.
All participants receive an accredited certificate upon successful completion.
Who Is This Course For?
- Hotel, spa, and leisure club staff.
- Swimming pool attendants.
- Teachers and coaches.
- Anyone responsible for poolside safety but not holding a full lifeguard qualification.
Course Content
The RLSS ER-Pool course covers:
- Understanding Pool Hazards – Risk awareness and prevention
- Emergency Action Plan – Responding quickly and effectively
- Basic Water Rescue Techniques – Safe methods to assist casualties without entering the water
- In-Water Rescue Skills – Controlled entry and rescue when necessary
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR and AED use for adults and children
- Casualty Care – Managing injuries and medical emergencies until help arrives
Delivery Options:
- On-site at your premises
- At one of our training facilities, throughout Northern Ireland
Duration & Assessment
- Duration: Typically, 6–8 hours per day (Two-Day)
- Assessment: Practical demonstrations and a short written test
- Certification: RLSS UK Emergency Response Pool Certificate (valid for 2 years)
Pricing Structure
External Training (at our locations)
- Two-Day Course: £170 per person
(Includes training materials, booklets, certification, and tea/coffee. VAT applies.)
Pool hire fees may apply if training is not conducted at your own facility.
In-House Training (at client premises)
- Standard Courses: £500 per day + £25 per person (materials & certification)
(Additional travel charges may apply beyond 20 miles from Bangor, Co Down.)
